An introduction to my scrappy adventures...

So I've decided to give into the blogging world and start one of my own to remebmer and share my many scrappy adventures, along with others that life throws at me.

I have been scrapping for about 10 years now. What started off as a small interest quickly grew into one of my favorite creative outlets and passion. Throughout the years I have learned so much (a never ending task!) many different techniques, and equipment that make scrapping easier and fun--cricut create being one of my favorites!

I started off making collages in my high school senior books-nothing complicated or too detailed just pictures of friends cut out in different shapes, some pens and stickers. From there I started branching out into albums and my love for scrapbooking was born. I remember my first pages--very simple plain cardstock and pictures--some basic embelishments like stickers and that was it. As my comfort level increased I started using patterned paper, stencils and paints.

When I started scrapbooking it was not as big as it is now. Yes there were small craft stores that had some scrapping stuff but still limited. Eventually I came across Archivers(http://www.archiversonline.com/)--a scrapbooking store I wish I could have in my own home! I was in heaven--I loved spending time there and looking at all the scrapbooking goodies that were coming out. To this day it is one of my favorite stores to get supplies from.

As time went on I started making mini albums for myself and friends. This was soon followed by making my own cards--a great way to use up all those scraps that you save! I can't remember the last time I purchased a card from a regular store-and I LOVE that! My friends and family have been very suportive of my crafty ways and encourge me everyday. Thank you...

Upon several requests and friendly encouragement I have decided to venture into another world with my crafts--the world of craft shows... I have always loved attending shows to see what others make etc, but never considered actually having a booth of my own...that is until now. I'll update my blog with craft show adventures soon--pictures and stories coming soon!
